Complex Three Hearts

The Complex 3 Opening is the simplest of all of the non-standard Openings. It is weak and pre-emptive showing 5-9 points and at least 5-5 in the Majors. As with most pre-empts, points should ideally be concentrated in the long suits. Most of the responses are entirely natural and non-forcing:

3 -4 is Gamma in Hearts (5-card length assumed). Asking Bids established.
-4 is Gamma in Spades (5-card length assumed). Asking Bids established.
Immediate bids in either Major are to play unless obviously invitational (eg: at the 5-level, in which case the invitation is asking for trump quality and playing strength rather than necessarily points as such). All other bids are natural and non-forcing.
